Facts about pudding and why this dessert is perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

Pudding cups made with vegan pudding mix and banana

The word “pudding” came from the British to describe homemade or rustic desserts being the rice pudding the most popular one. However, did you know that the first pudding had sausages?

The Romans created the first version of pudding; in fact, the word “pudding” comes from the Latin word botellus, which means sausage. I am so glad that now puddings are a dessert, and we love this vegan chocolate banana pudding.

This is the process for making the pudding dessert. We are using vegan pudding mix vanilla and chocolate flavor, sliced fresh bananas, vanilla wafers, dark chocolate pieces, and toasted hazelnuts. Using plastic bags for piping the pudding.

Why opting for a vegan pudding dessert?

We are using a vegetarian dairy-free instant pudding mix combined with almond milk. To create a perfect pudding texture, we are using the mixer to blend.

The vegan instant pudding is sugar and fat-free, making it a low-calorie option. We added fresh banana slices, dark chocolate, raw hazelnuts, and cookies, which are optional for those looking for a gluten and sugar-free alternative.

Step by step process for making the vegan chocolate pudding dessert

Remembering the classic banana pudding cups which are a childhood favorite.

Banana, chocolate, and vanilla go very well together. I enjoyed banana pudding cups with chocolate during my childhood years. My mom used to add one pudding cup to my brown bag, along with a sandwich and a banana.

Inspired by those childhood snacks, I thought of making an adult pudding cup with a gourmet twist. Because who doesn’t like good quality dark chocolate and toasted hazelnuts?

Grab a spoon and try this yummy adult pudding cup at home.

I made these pudding cups with ingredients I had in my pantry and bananas. The vegan chocolate and vanilla puddings allow you to prepare them a day in advance and layering using a piping bag or a standard plastic bag.

Use your creativity and make the combinations that best fit your palate. If you prefer another kind of pudding, feel free to use the brand you like or make it the old-fashioned way with eggs, whole milk, cocoa, vanilla, and corn starch.

Enjoying a sugar free option which is dairy and egg free too

Banana pudding is one of my favorite things. I just taught my daughter to make it. I love the presentation of how you served it in individual glasses.
