Patriotic Chicken Fajita Hot Dogs!

Patriotic Chicken Fajita Hot Dogs with chicken sausage, cheese, and peppers. Served on a decorative star shaped plate and napkins with printed stars.

Our Fourth of July menu includes Chicken Fajita Hot Dogs, made with smoked chicken sausage, red, green and yellow peppers, onions, serrano peppers for a spicy kick, sharp cheddar cheese and served on top sliced hot dog buns.

The best thing about this chicken sausage recipe is that it is simple and uses ingredients I bought at the supermarket that are ready to use. And the cooking technique is grilling inside the oven and placing all components on a sheet pan.

The Chicken Fajita Hot Dogs are ready in less than 20 minutes!

This chicken sausage hit dogs are perfect for any day of the week as you can cook them in less than 20 minutes. And the best thing is that you can use the sausage of your choice.

Using easy ready to us ingredients such as, pre-cut peppers and onions mix, and julienned serrano peppers

This recipe goes well with Spanish chorizo or Portuguese sausage called linguica. And even vegetarian or tofu-based sausage.

Hot dogs are the perfect treat to bring to a block party or a potluck

The idea behind this recipe is to merge the flavors of the traditional American cuisine with my Mexican twist. I am adding serrano peppers slices and Mexican oregano.

For serving, you can offer yummy guacamole, which pairs very good with the Chicken Fajita Hot Dogs and adds creaminess to the bite.

Feeding a crowd or our family doesn’t have to be complicated!

This recipe is fun, and you can bring to a block party, very common during the Fourth of July weekend as well as to a potluck with friends. Just bring some Corona beers, sodas, agua fresca, and the party is set to be a success.

For the party set up, I am suggesting Fourth of July themed paper plates and napkins as well as a wooden tray to serve the hot dogs. You can also use banners, a fun centerpiece, and flags to complement the festive decor.
