The Michelada cocktail is very popular in Mexico. The name Michelada is equal to say “My Beer, My Way”. This beer cocktail has a lot of personality and is made in many different ways. Because at the end a Michelada is always made to meet your personal taste buds. And everyone has their own version.

There are people that like it with tomato juice and lime, others that just want it with lime juice and salt, and others like me, that enjoy it with few drops of Worcestershire sauce, freshly squeezed lime juice, chamoy, and lots of TABASCOĀ® original red sauce.

You can prepare the Michelada with either lager or amber beers. Both go great with the added ingredients and are very refreshing. A Michelada cocktail never fails when the weather is hot and you are in party mode or organizing a taquiza at home. This cocktail is the perfect pairing for tacos too.

In Mexico, a Michelada cocktail never fails to be part of the menu. But now with my recipe, you can make your own Michelada Cocktail at home. The trick to achieving a tasty Michelada is to use freshly squeezed lime juice and the beer must be cold as ice.

UsingĀ TABASCOĀ® for the Michelada is a tradition among many bartenders and cocktail crafters. So when making your own michelada at home do not forget this important ingredient that not only adds another dimension of flavor but a nice spicy kick.

Many people like using TABASCOĀ® as a condiment, but itā€™s a great ingredient that adds much flavor to my recipes. I always have it handy for many of the dishes I make. Not only the Michelada cocktail but TABASCOĀ® sauces are great for marinades and also for adding a kick to pasta sauces. Like my Chipotle Spaghetti and Meatballs recipe so good!
