The roasted garlic mashed potatoes can be made with Russet or Yukon potatoes. Many people like Yukon gold over Russet both work very good for mashing. As they contain higher starch and allow for a fluffy smooth mash. Besides Russets are white and Yukons are gold. It is a matter of taste and preference. In terms of condiments we are using sazón latino, a mix of ground pepper, cumin, oregano, garlic and salt. Butter and sour cream for a creamy consistency. All these ingredients together enhance the roasted garlic addition to the mashed potatoes.

Another one of your hit recipes here. Fun fact: I coudl eat roasted garlic by the spoonful. Just that alone. No added ingredients. When roasting garlic, it brings out so much flavor, I could eat several cloves!

Yum yum yum YUM! I adore roasted garlic mashed potatoes but I’ve not add sour cream before – how luscious that must be! I do a pineapple and chilli ham around this time of the year (and Christmas) but always serve with salads – I am so making your mash next time I make that ham!

Other than the addition of Sazon Latin, this is very similar to my favorite homemade mashed potato recipe. The roasted garlic really does enhance the potatoes. I’ve never thought about spicing it up, but I love cumin on my french fries. It only makes sense that it would be good on this dish, too

These mashed potatoes look amazing. And since I love roasted garlic I’m not sure why I haven’t added it to potatoes. Love the other seasonings you used.
