The all-American holiday deserves the #1 American brand of Brats but with my special touch. So this Fourth of July we are celebrating with Johnsonville Firecracker Pork Brats. Garnished with pico de gallo and avocado to add a latin twist to a traditional American dish.
My family loves hot dogs on the grill and the Johnsonville Firecracker Brats are perfect for our grilling party. A brat is a bratwurst, a german style sausage with seasonings. The Johnsonville Firecracker Brats have only premium cuts of pork.
The flavor is perfect for my family’s tastebuds. These firecracker brats have a spicy kick that is pleasant to the taste that combines perfectly with my style of cooking.
Spicy Firecracker Pork Brats
- 1 package of Johnsonville Firecracker Brats
- 4 hot dog buns
- 2 avocados mashed
- 1 cup of pico de gallo salsa
- Prepare your grill and grill the brats on medium heat until getting the grilling marks. My family likes them well done but you can cook them to your liking.
- In a serving plate or a plastic tray with colorful paper add the hot dog bun. Spread some of the avocado mash.
- Add the grilled Johnsonville Firecracker Brat and top with pico de gallo salsa and enjoy!
I am a lover of Mexican food and traditional grilling, so I decided to use my charcoal grill to prepare the brats. The charcoal adds an additional smoky flavor that makes the Firecracker Pork Brats even more flavorful. Watch the video to learn more.
To garnish the brats I prepared pico de gallo salsa and mashed avocados to spread. Both components complement very nicely the flavor of the spicy brat. I am using butter hot dog buns and festive colorful paper and serving trays appropriate to the occasion.
When cooking outdoors you really do not want to complicate things. The Johnsonville products are perfect alternative when grilling. And besides, who doesn’t love an exciting meal that bursts with firecracker flavor in your mouth. The Spicy Firecracker Pork Brats that I am serving are tasty good. When you bite into the brat it is crunchy and juicy. The freshness of the pico de gallo salsa with the creamy avocado make this grilled brat experience so delightful.

I would slather those suckers with cheese! They look deeeelish.
I love this twist on traditional toppings. And here in Texas, this particular twist would be a welcome offering!

Spicy sausages are one of my weaknesses! Getting this along with the theme of liberty and freedom makes it much more breathtakingly delicious!
