A Mexican Cocoa Peanut Delight Smoothie recipe that will help me accomplish my new year's goal of eating breakfast everyday #StartWithJifPowder AD

Mexican Cocoa Peanut Delight Smoothie

Chef Adriana Martin
The new year has started and with it new dreams and goals. Breakfast time for me is somewhat challenging, so I have created a Mexican Cocoa Peanut Delight Smoothie recipe that will help me accomplish my new year's goal of eating breakfast everyday in 2016. This smoothie has the nourishing protein from peanuts as I am using the new Jif Peanut Powder, pure cocoa nibs that I brought from Oaxaca, chia seeds I purchased in Mexico, orange blossom honey, cinnamon powder and unsweetened Silk Almond milk.

  • 1 tablespoon of pure cocoa or cacao nibs
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of Jif Peanut Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of orange blossom honey
  • 24 ounces of unsweetened Silk Almond Mlik
  • 1/2 cup of ice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks optional
  • 2 straws optional

Instructions

  • In the blender add the cocoa nibs, the cinnamon, the chia seeds, the Jif Peanut Powder, the orange blossom honey, pour the Silk Almond Milk and add ice.
  • Blend on high for 1 minute or two until smoothie is frothy and all ingredients are combined.
  • Serve on a nice glass, add a cinnamon stick and a straw.

Notes

You can replace the cocoa nibs with cacao nibs or with Mexican chocolate if desired.
Honey can be replaced with agave nectar too or with stevia.
The chia seeds can be added at the end and not in the blending process if you prefer the bubbles texture.
