Equipment

  • Smoothie blender
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife
  • Chopping block

Ingredients

For the Banana Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1/2 cup Nestlé Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2 small bananas or 1 large
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter powder
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

For the Blueberry Grape Layer

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries from Publix
  • 1/2 cup frozen red grapes
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

Instructions

For the Banana Peanut Butter Layer

  • Add the evaporated milk, water, crushed ice, bananas, peanut butter powder, and maple syrup to your blender. Blend on high until getting a smoothie consistency. Set aside.

For the Blueberry Grape Layer

  • Add the blueberries, grapes, water, and maple syrup to your blender. Blend on high until getting a smoothie consistency. Set aside.

For the Layered Breakfast Smoothie

  • Use a glass and start layering with the banana peanut butter layer. Do the same with the blueberry grape flavor and repeat the process until the glass is full.
  • Garnish the smoothie with more blueberries and a dollop of peanut butter. (OPTIONAL)

Notes

  • For preparing the layered smoothie, use a smoothie blender.
  • To achieve the layered effect, the two flavors are blended separately.
  • We start first with the banana and peanut butter layer. And secondly, with the grape blueberry layer.
  • Use a tall glass and ladle in stages to get the layering.
