I am reflecting on Mother’s Day while sipping a soothing rose tea latte made with honey, coconut milk, and rose petals.
Indeed, mother’s day is a difficult time for me. I lost my mother many years ago due to leukemia, and it is still challenging to cope with the void.
My mother’s name was Rose. She was a strong hard working woman that raise me as a single mother. She worked for many years with a British executive who taught her the etiquette of afternoon tea and rose tea.
Since childhood, I got introduced to tea, and it’s varieties. We liked visiting a famous tea room in Mexico City called “Salon de Te Duca D’Este.” Not sure if it still exists but was a beautiful place specialized in the culture of tea and serving high tea with all the fixings, including rose tea.
Inspired on those days, I made a frothy rose tea latte using coconut milk, and honey. The result is a soothing warm tea experience that has the aroma or the rose petals and the lovely creaminess of a latte.
While searching for the rose petal tea, I found out that this tea helps with balancing stress for a healthier lifestyle. The tea mix that I purchased not only has rose petals but holy basil leaf, lemon myrtle, and chamomile. This tea is caffeine free and has a delicious aroma. It can be enjoyed hot or cold too.
This warm rose tea is perfect to start the day; drink while taking a break and before going to bed. Once you try it, the aroma and the sweet flavor will conquer your tastebuds.
I am recommending celebrating Mother’s Day taking care of our inner peace and managing stress.
Sometimes as moms or busy individuals we need to take a break and take care of ourselves. This mother’s day ask your family to give the gift of time and solitude for a few hours. Prepare a cup of rose tea latte, and enjoy “me time” while recharging and taking care of yourself.
All moms deserve the best. Because with your dedication raising children that will impact the lives of many in a positive way is something to take notice and applaud.
