I love my dog and to celebrate her I have prepared doggie taste approved frozen treats using Purina® Pro Plan® products. Bella is a very important member of our family and my everyday companion at the kitchen, where I prepare food for my family, test recipes and from time to time I also prepare treats for her to show all the joy she brings to my life. Bella loves ice so she enjoyed these doggie taste approved frozen treats that I am assuming are doggielicious.
When Collective Bias invited me to participate in this campaign I was so excited because Bella has been eating Purina® Pro Plan® since she was a puppy. And also I wanted to take the opportunity to show you that we foodies also love to prepare special recipes for our four legged BBF’s while still considering their nutrition. That is why today I am sharing Bella’s doggie taste approved frozen treats recipe. This is an easy hack to prepare a simple treat that any dog would love.
- 32 pieces of Purina® Pro Plan® Savor Dry Dog Food with Chicken
- 1 pouch of Purina® Pro Plan® Savor Additions oatmeal and apple puree
- 1 pouch of Purina® Pro Plan® Savor Additions berry blend puree
- 1 pouch of Purina® Pro Plan® Savor Additions beef carrot puree
- 2 trays for making ice cubes with capacity of 16 pieces each
Follow these step by step instructions to make these easy Doggie Taste Approved Frozen Treats
- Place one piece of Purina® Pro Plan® Savor Dry Dog Food with Chicken in each ice cube tray slot.
- Add the Purina® Pro Plan® Savor Additions to fill each ice cube slot. Do this with the three flavors.
- Place the filled trays in the freezer and freeze for 4 -6 hours. This recipe makes 32 pieces and can last up to two months in the freezer. When ready to offer a treat just pull out one of the frozen treats from the tray and treat your dog.
You can make less frozen treats than the yield of this recipe, and use smaller ice cube trays if you wish. One pouch of the puree makes 12 treats. I made the complete yield since I wanted to offer variety. You can feed your dog one frozen treat every other day. Dogs can put up weight so be mindful on portions, check information on suggested serving size available on the product and exercise your dog daily. Nutrition is important for good dog health so I am glad that real chicken, beef, lamb, or salmon is the #1 ingredient found in all Purina® Pro Plan® dry formulas.
Purina® Pro Plan®’s goal is to give dogs the nutrition that is the absolute best to help our dogs be energetic and resilient, while maintaining an ideal body condition, healthy skin, and a stunning coat. You can tell from the looks of Bella she does have a great coat and she is a very energetic and happy dog; maybe what she eats and the good care we have provided her has contributed to her looks.
You can find Purina® Pro Plan® dry dog food at your local PetSmart where you will find everything you need for your dog and a little bit more. I enjoy going to PetSmart because I can bring Bella and afterwards we make it a family outing going to the park to walk and have some fun together.
In my life I have two best friends my husband John and my sheltie Bella. In my opinion all you need is love and a dog to be content with life. Not to mention great food and wine and the support and company of your friends and family.
