Cranberry juice mojito with mint and Bacardi Limon

Cranberry Mojito Mendoza Style

Maria Angelica, my dear Colombian friend and fellow Latina living in the US, prepares the best Cranberry Mojito, she even uses the mint she grows in her vegetable garden. Here you have my interpretation of her signature drink, salud!

  • 3 cups of cranberry Juice
  • ¼ cup of lime juice
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • Fresh mint (washed and trimmed)
  • Bacardi Limon
  • Sugar cane sticks
  • Ice cubes

Preparation time: 10 minutes. Makes 1 pitcher, 4-6 drinks. Approximate cost per person $3.50 depending on ingredients market price. You will need a pitcher, tall glasses and a wooden spoon.

Place the mint and the sugar in the pitcher; use the wooden spoon to mash these ingredients together. Then add the rum, lime and cranberry juice, stir to dissolve the sugar. Serve in a tall glass with ice and decorate with a sugar cane stick and mint leaves.

Turn on the Latin music and enjoy this refreshing cocktail with your guests.

Please drink responsibly and do not drink and drive.
